Before the Wedding
Here we are in the center of Dornoch - The Cathedral literally across the street from the old bishop's palace now called the Dornoch Castle Hotel.
Naturally, we had a rehearsal dinner the night before. We were hosted by the castle to a delicious Scottish Barbeque (if there is such a thing!) Originally, we had planned to have it in the castle garden, but due to chilly weather, the warm interior of the castle seemed to be the place to be.
It was a great time for separate groups of our friends from around the globe to hang out and get to know each other.
As the guests arrived over the next few days, much of the time was passed in the castle pub where whisky and dark ales were the drinks of choice.
The room you see here was actually the same one in which the Ceilidh Band and the dance floor appeared the next day for the reception.
